Keri served veterans and their families while working on her business degree. She brought tireless dedication to her role as chapter president of the Student Veterans of America chapter, seeking out every resource available to assist members and their families. Following graduation, Keri served three years as a case manager serving combat veterans and surviving spouses through a grant from the Texas Veterans Commission.
In 2018, Keri founded Valor Ranch, which provides a safe, nurturing environment for female veterans to refocus and write the next chapter of their story.
As Keri says, “Together, we are on a mission to begin the journey of Serving, Honoring, Empowering, and Restoring Our Esteemed Servicewomen (SHEROES).”

Chris is the Veterans Counselor for Tarrant County College Northeast Campus. A Minnesota native, Chris earned an M.Div, and an M.A. in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He serves on the TCC Veterans Counselor SDS Working Group and The Northeast Campus Equity and Inclusion Counsel.
He served in the United States Air Force and is a Desert Storm Veteran. Chris was an F-15 Aircraft Crew Chief and Quality Assurance Inspector from 1987 to 1997. This translated naturally into treating his favorite populations, military, commercial aircrew and people who have Substance Use Disorders.
In addition to general counseling, Chris is experienced in working with trauma patients. He is EMDR trained and Critical Incident Stress Management Certified. Chris has worked in various treatment centers as Outpatient Clinical Director, Chaplain, and Family Counselor. He has served the community as Pastor, Associate Pastor, Youth Minister, and is a member of the Denton Medical Reserve Corps. Chris is a champion of issues related to Veteran Services and disparities in General Mental Health Care provision. He is considered an expert in crisis intervention and is routinely called upon to participate in Care Team crisis resolution.
Teri Chang is a Senior Human Resources Specialist that has served as a Department of the Army civilian at various military installations for more than 30 years. Teri has a BA degree in Economics and Masters of Business Administration.
She began her federal service career in Military Personnel and became proficient in many aspects of the military actions. Later in her career, she transitioned to civilian personnel at the Veteran’s Health Administration in Fort Harrison, Montana. Currently, Teri is the Chief, Labor, Management, and Employee Relations in the personnel office servicing the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Fort Worth, TX.
Teri is excited to serve our female veteran community through Valor Ranch, and hopes to share her expertise in the human resources field to empower female veterans to write the next chapter in their story.
Collegiate career started at age 16 and included BS, MBA, PhD and 9 other advanced degrees or certifications.
During the corporate years Hal held Financial Management and General Management positions at Rockwell International, United Technologies Arvin Industries, and Chubb Corporation. Finally, as an entrepreneur built and sold a number of small businesses keeping the money management company which his son works today. During retirement founded and grew US Spyder Ryders, a motorcycle riding club that raised over $150,000 per year for veteran charities. “Retirement years as charitable volunteer have at times been more demanding and more rewarding than full time employment.”
Josh is the son, brother, and grandson of veterans with a passion for veterans and first responders. He has a personal understanding and empathy for all. Possess a strong skill set in leadership and infrastructure.
Over the years, Josh has taken his skills and passion to help others to the next level. He and Keri
Anne have joined forces, with God’s help, to leave this world a better place, one heart at a time. He
has dedicated his strengths, inventiveness, creativeness, and more importantly his heart to the
building of Valor Ranch and success for all those who participate in the programs. He too, realizes
the battles our brave men and women faced during military service are only the beginning to the
war they will experience in civilian life as a military veteran.
Cindy is a granddaughter, niece, and wife of combat veterans. Currently, she is a Pastoral Resident at her local church in Decatur, Texas, volunteers as a hospital chaplain, serves in the United States Army Chaplain Corps in a Military Police Battalion, and is a board member for the Wise Performing Arts Guild. She has earned a Minor in Youth Ministry, A.A. Degree in Christian Ministry, B.A. Leadership with a concentration in Christian Studies and will complete a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Chaplaincy in May of 2023 from Regent University.
Cindy has a special place in her heart and compassion for those who have served, are currently serving, or are part of a support network. She understands the wife’s perspective and the struggles of being in an active duty family during deployments and the traumas that have come with serving based on her husband’s experience, as well as experiencing the challenges a family faces in transitioning out of the military. Cindy enjoys her calling into the Army Chaplain Corps to come alongside and help others. She is honored to serve using her gifts and talents of pastoral care, leadership, graphic designs, and marketing at Valor Ranch.
Ms. Kendra is a distinguished writer and former Tribal Council Vice-President for three years. Kendra is the daughter of a veteran who served in World War II.
